RAILWAY CONCESSION, India

Those artists who would like to avail railway concession for participating in festivals and performances within the country may contact the cultural department or Sangeet Natak Akademi in their respective states. Along with the application letter for concession you have to attach copy of the invitation letter from the organizer and five copies of the names of artists travelling along with their age and signature. Individuals or groups travelling can avail 50% concession in first class and 75% concession in second class sleeper class.

Rama in Musee Guimet, Paris, France.

Next year in June 2009, exponent of Bharata Natyam, Rama Vaidyanathan will present concerts in the prestigious Musee Guimet, Paris, France on 5 and 6 June, 2009. She will also present concerts at the Cite de la Musique and other venues in France and will conduct a performance tour of Europe begining from May to July 2009.

Kalapana Raghuraman from The Netherlands presented her new experimental dance works at the Habitat Centre, New Delhi which was appreciated by all for its freshness and unique approach to dance without forsaking her training in Bharata Natyam.
