Sanjay Verma has made a remarkable distinction among the leading Guitarist of young generation in the field of Hindustani classical music. Born on 2nd October 1969 in Varanasi, Sanjay started his Music career at the age of 15. At the age of 20, he had his inclination towards the Hawaiian Guitar and he underwent a proper training in Guitar under the tutelage of Dr. Kamala Shankar of Varanasi. Alongwith Guitar Sanjay has learnt Sitar under Dr. Krishna Chakravarty, Prof. in Sitar, Faculty of Music & Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University. He has completed his "Sangeet Praveen" in Guitar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad & M. Mus. in Sitar from Faculty of Music & Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University. Sanjay has learnt the technical aspects of combining Dhrupat & Khayal Gayaki. He is a Regular Performer in A I R & Doordarsahan Achievements & Awards:
