BHARATA NATYAM DANCER

Lakshmi Ramanathan is one the most promising young Bharata Natyam dancers of today. Her bodily grace and expressive eyes contributes well to her effortless dancing. Trained traditionally in this art form by her gurus, she is a skilled performer with aspirations to explore newer sensibilities in Bharata Natyam.

Lakshmi began her training as a child of 8 years under Mrs. Anandhi Krishnamurthy. She received advanced training in Bharata Natyam under Mrs.Shobhana Balachandra. Subsequently, she did her formative training in Kuchipudi style with the renowned artist Mrs. Methil Devika.

She took her Masters degree in Bharathanatyam at Bharatidasan University, Trichy. She has presented nearly 100 stage performances till date with the guidance of her gurus. She also gives solo dance recitals at Dance Festivals as well as various prestigious occasions and has received critical acclaim for the same.

Lakshmi's fulfillment as a dancer not only lies in the scale of her achievements but also to research more about the art form, she has loved ever since her childhood.
