…………Flautist Sunil Kant Gupta, with extraordinary dedication has carried out notable changes on the traditional Bansuri, normally the Bansuri can be successfully exploited only up to Mandra Pancham i.e.; Pancham of the lower Octave, Sunil, with his changes can now go as low as Mandra Shadja or even up to Ati-Mandra Nikhat in some cases, with great ease. He presented Raag Nat Bhairav in the Dhrupad style. His effortless rendition only highlights the extraordinary command with which he wields the Bansuri to leaves a special impression with his soft & tuneful recital.

On the second day, young Sunil Kant Gupta presented Raag Gouri in the Poorvi Thaat. This Raag has never before been presented on any Musical Instrument. He was well appreciated by the audience. He exhibited a range of flutes- his own creations & also showed his excellent command over them. The listeners were left open-mouthed admiration at his virtuosity.
