A Chartered Accountant from India, with a CPA certification in the United States, Mala Pasupathi is an excellent Bharata Natyam dancer. She started learning the dance form at a very young age and had her arangetram at age 15. After her initial training in her home state of Kerala, she relocated to Madras to learn under the renowned guru "Kalaimamani" "Natyaselvam" Swamimalai K.Rajarathnam. She has performed extensively -Besides India, she has toured the United States twice, performing in over 30 cities. She has also travelled to Singapore, Dubai (United Arab Emirates) Paris, London, Geneva, and Vienna on concert tours. In all these countries, she won accolades for her imaginative choreography, abhinaya talents and pure dance capabilities. Besides solo performances, Mala as also choreographed and directed dance dramas and given lecture - demonstrations on the theoretical aspects of dance. She currently resides in the United States.
