Shailesh has sung in innumerable telefilms and serials, video films and documentaries and has performed in many national and international music conferences and festivals including 4th Hindi Conference in Mauritius, 1993, Asian Music Festival, Indonesia, 1996, Minzzer International Festival, Chamba, 1995. Some of the honours that have come her way include the Shobhana Award, Stage Promoters Award, Begum Akhtar Award, Adharshila Award, Delhi Film Institute Award, Bindya Vasini Award and a Fellowship in Folk Music from the Department of Culture, Government of India. |

Shailesh is working with Indian television as Programme Executive. She has produced several music and dance programmes/ documentaries and has done tremendous work in popularizing songs on national integration through Indian television. Shailesh is a post graduate in Political Science and took her "Prabhakar" Degree in music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She is now a disciple of the renowned maestros Rajan and Sajan Mishra. |
