Ongoing Projetcs:

Rhythm and Harmony "Rhythm and Harmony"- a special choreographic work involving four styles of classical dance - Bharatanatyam, Katak, Mohiniattam and Odissi - is based on the very core of Indian philosophy - the blending of the metaphysical with the physical, the co-existence of the spiritual with the practical. 'Om' or 'shoonya' being the truth of existence, the dance production reflects on the abstracts of the elements-Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Ether and their practical manifestation through seasonal changes, alive and evolving. Nature inspires man to emulate it's rhythm and bond with it. The synergy between man and nature sets before the eye the cosmos, softly changing it's hues.

Is man in step with the rhythm of nature? And the birds and the bees and the animals? Kalidasa's "Ritu Samhar", with it's vivid imagery of the natural, the ever changing, the ever evolving inspires this production- Rhythm and Harmony. The myriad shades of feeling of emotion, of life- the dialectic between the immutable and the changing, the variegated and the constant is depicted through this dance dialogue.

Bharatanatyam depicts the season of Greeshma - summer, Kathak - varsha- rain, Mohiniattam-Sharad-autumn and Odissi- Vasanth - spring.

Renowned dancers Prathibha Prahlad, Shovana Narayan, Ranjana Gauhar and Deepti Bhalla join together for the first time to help contemplate on the abstract - Brahman- the sound of silence. Choreography- Ranjana Guahar, Prathibha Prahlad, Shovana Narayan, Bharati Shivaji and Deepti Bhalla.
