Bharatnatyam, a solo dance prevalent in South India is oldest among contemporary dance forms with a history of 2000 years.

The Bharatanatyam dancer's repertoire is extensive, yet integrated by Nritya, the technique of human movement and abhinay. The central part of any Bharatanatyam recital is Varnam, a beautiful blend of Bhavam (emotion) Ragam (melody) and Talam (rhythm).

A young exponent of Bharatnatyam, Nehi has been trained in both Pandanallur and Kalakshetra styles of Bharatnatyam. (Currently taking advanced training from Guru Jaya Lakshmi Eshwar) In powerful combination of tradition and versatility, moving across the stage with an exceptional combination of beauty, grace and rhythm, Nehi endows her dance with an unusual attractive appeal to both the spiritual and aesthetic senses.

Her rendering of " abhinaya" is restrained yet expressive. Perfectly precise in her pure dance movements, agile like a gazelle in complicated footwork and eloquent in both hand movements and facial expressions, Nehi marks her performance with a sense of aesthetic joy and delightful vivacity.

' A ' grade with the Delhi Doordarshan, Nehi has performed in several prestigious dance festivals in India and abroad.
